YFC, Christianity, church, & faith in general…
It’s not just something you do over the weekend, it’s who you are.
I always see people front like “Yeah! I love & miss my youth fam,” yet they have all these dirty photos & posts on their blogs and whatever other social networks. And it’s nice to see you at youth events on Saturdays or church on Sundays, but what the hell are you doing all the other days of the week? So you’re a Christian for a few hours on the weekend, but as soon as you’re back home your life is back to revolving around excessive drugs, sex, stealing, banging, etc?
Look, I understand with experience that we’re not perfect people, that we want to enjoy our lives, and that we fall into doing stupid stuff. That’s society. And I’m fine with people who choose to do all of that yadada; but not when they claim to be religious, try to rep their youth group, talk about living as a good person & following God. Because now you just look foolish. And I know, because I was like that.
Bottom line: DON’T BE A HYPOCRITE. Yeah, God is forgiving and we’re friendly & accepting people, but don’t take advantage of it by expecting everything you do on your own time to be okay.
