I almost forgot about it. It wasn’t until the other day when a friend of mine brought it up that I realized how special that was.

I had a friend who came up to me struggling with his family life, losing all sense of faith, and feeling as if he wasn’t worth anything. We left everybody we were with & went on a walk so that we could talk one-on-one; allowing me to give him advice and brighten up his day. That’s when he straight up cried to me & told me that I was like the father-figure he never had in his life.

Like woah. We’re both in high school, but he’s telling me that he looks up to me like that? I forgot how honored I was to hear that. I forgot how close he and I were …And now I barely take the time to speak to him. But I will fix that.

So realize that there are people out there whose lives are truly impacted & influenced by your presence. And try to give em’ the attention that they need.
